Nishikido-oyakata's hair

Well, there isn't any... As I was great fan of Mitoizumi in his active days,
I still follow his progress in his oyakata career. So I was interested to hear
he was seen completely bald... in the meantime I saw some pictures, too.
At first I thought he simply decided to change his hairdo, but there was
a repor showing him and his deshi in front of his new heya, and what he
has on his head looks suspiciously like a wig. Now, if he wanted to change
his looks, why the wig? Perhaps he went suddenly bald, and that photo with
the wig was from the time he still tried to adjust? Or perhaps he suffers
from some illness that causes loss of hair? This second alternative got me
a bit worried, so if anyone knows anything about Nishikido-oyakata's
sudden baldness, please enlihgten me!
