Kokugikan Project Given Up
The Osaka Kokugikan project, to provide a modern building for the "sumo"
bouts of Kansai, has been abandoned because of financial difficulties. The
application for permission made to the Osaka prefectural authorities have
been rescinded by Mr. Genjiro Nakata of Tokyo, representing the promotion
management, on December 5.
