It strikes me that members of this mailing list could get some fun and 
maybe, eventually, some coin if they struck a deal with Clyde to help 
provide content.  I am sure that a number of list members could supply a 
bi-monthly column on the topic of their choice (e.g., one person could 
write a column on kimarite, each issue discussing the method, frequency of 
use, history, et al. of a specific kimarite while another person could 
choose a column about differing aspects of the sumo world).  I know there 
are already some list members who keep close tabs on all foreign rikishi 
and could provide updates on that front.  Clyde would then need to provide 
photographs and publish the magazine but if we had ownership and 
responsibility, we could make sure that it gets published on time.  There 
is no better forum for a "round table discussion" as Andy used to have than 
an on-line chat (where you can just record the chat session and you have 
the complete transcript).

Of course this would require that Clyde be open to the idea and at least 
agree to share some revenue with the new staff.  If he wanted to, he could 
farm out the entire operation (e.g, have a responsible agent to take care 
of the publishing and have access to the coffers to pay for the publishing 
and writers) although I doubt he would trust a bunch of yokels he has never 
met with that kind of responsibility right off the bat.
