Yesterday I watched Zen-Nippon Rikishi Senshuken
(Japan Rikishi Championship?) on TV.  The tournament
was held sometime after the Aki basho, but I don't
know the exact date.

I'm not going to tell you who won the tourney, but
throughout the program rikishis were asked (not exactly
sumo-related) questions on hanamichi.  Here are
some of their answers:

Hobby/Interest
     Miyabiyama: "Pachisuro" (*)
     Shimotori: watching videos
     Takamisakari: listening to music / playing games 
     (I think he meant Playstation or PC games)
     Tosanoumi: watching movies
     Takanowaka: playing the piano (It seemed the 
     interviewer made him say so because it fits
     his image)
     Kasuganishiki: eating out
     Kotomitsuki: fishing
     Musouyama: sumo!!

(*) pinball machine fitted with a slot machine mechanism 

Favorite food
     Musashimaru: yakiniku (grilled meat)
     Tokitsuumi: he doesn't like sashimi (raw fish)
     Kasuganishiki: Japanese & Chinese food
     Kotomitsuki: Kara-age (fried chicken)
     Dejima: fruits (esp. pear)
     Kyokutenhou: sushi

Childhood dream
     Tochinonada: to be a rikishi
     Kotomitsuki: to be a fisherman
     Tamanoshima: to be a rikishi


By the way, if you are in Japan right now (about 10:20 pm), 
Terao will be on NHK in a few minutes.
