I would like the sumo mailing list members to visit a
new web site that I have just put up:
www.americansumo.com

The American Sumo Association (ASA) is a fan-based
organization dedicated to educating on, and promoting
the sport of sumo in the United States. We are not
affiliated with any other sumo organization. At present
this is a small organization, namely myself and several
friends, with a goal of delivering a high level of up-to-
date, easy-to-access, easy-to-use information. Going
forward, and as we expand the organization, we hope to
stage and promote events that will bring sumo to the
American public.

Our initial Web site was launched last month. At
present it contains information on rules, the history of
the sport, the tournament and ranking system, and former
and current American champions. We will continually
enhance the site to provide additional information. The
site can be reached at www.americansumo.com. In the
month that our site has been live, I have been
encouraged by the significant amount of traffic and the
large number of correspondences and questions that we
have generated.

I would encourage all of you to visit the site and, if
you have the time, critique it. I am very interested in
providing the information that sumo fans want to see and
your comments are very welcome. In addition, if any of
you have items that you think would add value and you
would like to post on our site, I am open to that as
well. As I said, this is something that myself and the
other volunteers are doing in our spare time, so updates
will not be immediate, but they will be consistent and
hopefully always add value.

Thanks for your time
