Re: Sumo movies [Very non-sumo, as usual]

I for one would feel I had gotten my "money's worth" for the joy you have
spread already, even though you may never make another sumo movie.

Also, since I am over fifty now I can tell you in motherly fashion that
things will definitely get better. Unlike in sumo where one injury and
difficulty lead to another and a slide down the banzuke is often
irreversible, in love things have a way of clearing up and clarifying and
leading to even better success the next time (with Chiaki or someone better
suited to you).

If all else fails I do have a beautiful daughter who will be 21 this month
and who speaks some Japanese and sumoese from long exposure...neither very
well but who can say what the future holds, ne? Actually she is currently
"occupied" with a nice but non-sumo fan young man and would kill me for
bandying her about, even for the worthy goal of having a fellow sumo fan in
the family orbit someday.

I wish you all the best. Support for your software fund doesn't mean you
are under obligation to anyone to do anything else for us. After all, even
if under "giri" you could always get hit by illness or a bus...and your
supporters understand that. What is a friendly list for if not to provide
friendly support for each other so we can all in our own fashion enjoy sumo
together? You surely have provided friendly support to us TV deprived fans
already.

I hope you will accept our donations.

Carol Illback

P.S. Installing new hardware will keep your mind busy and you may find
yourself up nights anyway...
