I concur, it was not a good time for strong sekiwakes. If I were to add an honorable mention list to go along with the Top 10 postwar sekiwakes, Kurohimeyama and Kirinji from this era would merit consideration.
Some other pretty good rikishi from the 1970-1990 period who reached the sekiwake rank would include Arase, Dewanohana, Kotogaume, Ozutsu and Sakahoko.
