But seriously, folks.  The 1976 group is really 
going to have to get it in gear from here on 
out.  They're getting on in years (from a sumo 
standpoint).  At 26 this year, they can hope for 
another 8 years, maybe 10 if they are lucky.  
(Asashoryu, of course, is a few years younger, 
so he still has some time...)

As for Wakanosato, well, he'll always be my 
favorite, even if he doesn't make Ozeki.  I 
wonder what might have happened if he hadn't 
torn that ligament and broken his leg in that 
match versus Musoyama back in Kyushu 98.  But 
they way he dropped all the way down to the 
bottom of Juryo and climbed all the way back up 
to Sekiwake with strong, exciting, non-henka-
based sumo will always have my respect and 
admiration. :-)
