The Osaka Mainichi and Tokyo Nichi Nichi, Friday 30th March 1928

Asami, Champion Student Wrestler, Joins S.M.R. Co.

Mr. Asaichiro Asami, graduate of Keio University and winner of the Ninth 
Osaka Mainichi All-Japan Collegiate Wrestling Championship, and a jujistu 
expert of national reputation, has decided to join the staff of the South 
Manchuria Railway Company.
He is the third Mainichi wrestling champion to join the S.M.R., the first 
being Mr. Nawada, formally of Meiji University and winner of the Fourth 
Championship, and the second Mr. Sarumaru, a Doshisha graduate, winner of 
the Eighth Championship.
