At Masumiriki's Sumo Site, I use "international rikishi" for the rikishi
with a significant international (non-Japanese) connection.

Naturalized citizen is a citizen and NOT a foreigner, as you said. But
for the way of Japanese thinking, anyone with non-Japanese physical
characteristics is "gaijin", even if the person is a naturalized Japanese
citizen and speaks very good Japanese language.
