This particular book is written in Japanese and NOT "straight from old 
newspapers"
but rather original articles written for this particular book making them 
look like
newspaper articles. It has no color photos but each page has at least one 
photo, some
are lesser quality than others. The articles "cover" from ancient legend to 
1998.
All years from 1944 to 1998 are covered by at least one article each, 
except 1947.

"Ozumo Rekishi Shimbun" by Editing Committee for Ozumo Rekishi Shimbun
published in 1999 by Nippon Bungei Sha

There is actually a large size 130 page paperback book "Ozumo: seen on 
newspaper"
or "Shimbun Shimen De Miru Ozumo" published in 1998 by Ueda Insatsu.
This book is based on the reduced photo copies of the actual newspaper 
articles from
Sports Nippon and photos from Mainichi Shimbun. It covers from 1949 to 1995.
Since it is based on the actual newspaper pages, it shows more than sumo 
articles.
This is limited edition and I can't find ISBN numbers.
