Kintaro's Jungyo Report

Kintaro has just returned from his 3 week Jungyo in Japan. Your intrepid
reporter wandered through Tokyo, Ibaraki, Niigata, and Ishikawa
prefectures. You may have heard that Niigata Prefecture sakes are some of
the finest -- it is true, they are wonderful (far superior to the swill
usually consumed at the Woodstock-beya).

Kintaro attended 3 days of the Natsu basho. The Mighty Cleveland Ozeki,
Obana already reported on Kintaro's conversation with the injured
Futagoyama Yokozuna. Takanohana was moaning Itai!! Itai!! when Kintaro
arrived in the Shitaku-beya. (Note: Taka's mouse was nowhere to be seen.)
After giving Takanohana some words of encouragement, Kintaro had dinner in
Ryogoku with several of the mailing list folks (including 5 of his 22
readers). I would report on it, but I soon lost count of the number of
henka, nodo-wa, hair pulls, and face WHAPS. I do remember the furtive
caresses fondly. Several caresses can be seen at the following URL:

Note: Kintaro's meetings with Sukebeejima and ShiroiKuma are also shown on
the chanko page.

Kintaro watched the lads arriving at the Kokugikan during the Natsu Basho.
There are two new pages of pictures of arriving sekitori, many you will
recognize. The sekitori can be seen here:

Kintaro also took some pictures of the low rankers. To all of you adopted
rikishi parents, I need to say... Hmmm... how can I put this
delicately... your kid is... gee, this is tough... I guess I'll just
come right out and say it... Your kid is ugly. Whew! I feel better.
Your ugly mutts can be seen at this location:

Kintaro heads up the Hanamichi... after this 37 hour day... Ugghh, very
tired...
