I assume you would wish to apply the same logic to that superbly popular
rikishi Tomikaze with his high rank of Juryo 11, who was, exactly like
Tomonohana demoted from J11 to J13 for the Aki basho this year following a
6-9 record in Nagoya.....

Truth is both Tomonohana this time and Tomikaze last time lucked out due to
the large number of rikishi who had to leave Juryo both after Nagoya and the
Aki Bashos.  So to accuse him of obtaining favourable treatment  based on
that score based on pretty flimsy (read non-existant) evidence.

Having said that I am sure that the Kyokai are happy to have "Sensei" around
at least one more time.
