For what it's worth, I thought he said saikou as well.
(To answer your question, Bhabha, "saigo" means "the last, final", or in
this case, "the last time.")
I've been reading his book "Dokuhaku: Strong Spirit", (written as Masaru
Hanada instead of the "Fujishima Oyakata" one would expect...). It's really
interesting. He talks about how all 13 years of his career he was afraid
he'd horribly injured or even killed on the dohyo. He even had a last will
and testament made up in secret. After he retired he tore it up...
