How awful! My deepest sympathies to Chohachi's wife, who like all sumo
wives is quite accustomed to being on her own for nearly half the year. It
should be observed, however, that all the *Japanese* robbers who do 'hot'
break-ins have cottoned onto the idea of pretending to be Chinese. How
would real Chinese know to target an upper-ranking yobidashi? The police
are trying very hard to blame foreign gangs for the several-hundred-percent
increase in break-ins in the last year or two, but the fact remains: most
of the crooks in Japan are home-born Japanese.
