But it's the timing!  Just as the basho ends, rather than when she first
brought it up.  Not to mention that the main Shinto god is female...

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe Usu-san-no-kami is upset
that a makujiri rikishi won the basho...

:-)

On a more serious note, just about everyone in danger has been evacuated,
but lets all hope and pray that Usu-san settles down without taking out
peoples' homes and livelihoods.
