there are now 15 rikishis who retired - the last one
to join was Mihogaseki Beya's Makushita W57,
Daikiyama.

Just checked Wakamatsu Beya Web site and read about
Asachiba - he looks so young. He did Mae-zumo at Haru
Basho last year just right after graduating from a
Junior High. And no more record after that - meaning
what ???
Was he injured and stayed outside the Banzuke ranking
or was he not good enough to ever pass the Mae-zumo ?
Japanese economy what it is, he would have tough time
finding a decenr job with just a Junior High diploma.
I suppose there is always a job at some chanko nabe
restaurant...
