Bench sumo question

  I took a look at the Bench Sumo website, but I'm not sure I understand
how it works. Is any of the below correct? 

  First, you pick your slate of wrestlers (and other stuff, like mawashi
color). Then, once the honbasho starts, the score keeper tallies up the
win-loss record of each Bencher's slate members at the end of each day. 

  I'm kinda confused as to what else is involved with the scoring,
though. If Bencher A's slate goes 6 wins, 4 losses, does he get a shiro-
boshi for the day (or, conversely 4 and 6 = kuro-boshi)? If so, what
happens when A's slate goes 5-5? Or, is A matched up against another
Bencher, and the Bencher with the better record gets the win?  Please clue
me in!
