What's especially sad is that, by the end of the press conference, it was
clear that, while he was telling the truth about ten years and more ago
(when he himself was a major culprit), he had no solid information about
what was happening today; only his own opinion. (And his opinion, summed up,
was that there was only one-tenth of the bout-fixing now that there was in
the '80s.) Someone asked him, "Can you tell by looking at the television if
a particular bout was fixed?" and he replied, "No, not an individual bout;
but over the day you can form an estimate." (My translation)
Ah well, off to work.
