That's odd. All the responses I read said, in effect, "No, there is no
meaningful resemblance. Sumo is organized differently."  Anyway, I'll have
to leave the matter in the capable hands of people who have more time to
reply. I suddenly recalled yesterday that I had overlooked a deadline. The
editor was very nice about it but he wants the January column pretty darned
soon. So I'm out of this thread.
