The kabu number is 105, 88 from Tokyo-Zumo and 17 from Osaka-Zumo. Then
there are the two ichidai-toshiyoris (one-generation toshiyori kabu) of
Kitanoumi and Taiho which will vanish when they reach the age of 65 years or
die before that (?). As a son-in-law of Taiho Takatoriki is probably poised
to take over Taiho-beya sooner or later. >>

I have been trying to figure this out for some time. So, there are 105
permanent "names?" Are the one generation "names" for yokozuna in addition
to the 105 or in place of one of the 105?

BTW, are all 105 in use at this time?

Also, I understand that there are many associated Heya. Is this a personal
relationship among the Oyakattas or is it an enduring association. I kinda
think of this as a feudal relationship. Are some Oyakatta subserviant to
others? Are their associations across Tokyo-Zumo and Osaka-Zumo

With these associations effectivly how many heya are there?
